Erst and Kerb in Ancoats
Just a short stroll to Ancoats, you'll find not one, but two wine bars that have also earned their spots on The Times' prestigious list. Erst, an intimate spot on Murray Street, has been making waves since its opening in 2019. Last year, it even made it onto the top 100 restaurants in the National Restaurant Awards. Described by The Times as a "trendy" wine bar, Erst offers sherry by the glass and sits not far from Michelin-starred restaurant Mana.
Kerb, a neighbourhood natural wine store on Henry Street, offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of Cutting Room Square. Known for its Thursday tastings and regular events with local artisans, Kerb was praised by The Times for its "amazing" and "fun wines" that cater to the adventurous palate.
