Strawberry limeade
Ingredients:
- _ cup of lime juice
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 220 g sliced strawberries
- 25 mint leaves
- 2 cups cold water
With a tang and leafy lift, strawberry limeade wakes your tongue up, that's for sure. Our list above is for a big pitcher, which starts with the syrup - cook the sugar and water on a medium heat for 10 minutes max. The sugar should vanish; the liquid becomes clear. Then stir in the lime juice, mint, cold water and strawberries, and leave it in the fridge for several hours.
Frappuccino
Ingredients:
- - 2 cups ice
- - 1 strong cup of cooled, brewed coffee
- - 1 cup milk
- - 1/3 cup caramel sauce
- - 3 tablespoons sugar
Who needs Starbucks for a good time? Indulge your addiction whilst saving yourself from bankruptcy. This DIY Frappuccino requires a blender and a coffee maker. You stir the ice, milk, coffee, caramel and sugar together until they're completely smooth. That's it - with some cream on top if you're hankering, of course!
Cranberry & orange punch
Ingredients:
- 3 cups cranberry juice
- _ cup orange juice
- 2 cans ginger ale
- Sliced lemons & oranges
- 200 ml vodka or gin
Our punch has a kick to it! There's enough here for 1.5 litres of summertime succulence. Switch up the alcohol content to test what you like; maybe start with 100 ml and splash a little more in till you're happy. There isn't much of a 'how to' here. All we'd say is lay your fruit on the bottom of the serving bowl, pouring the liquid over the top and releasing the flavour straight away.
Strawberry honey hibiscus iced tea
Ingredients:
- 5 chopped strawberries
- 10 mint leaves
- _ cup hibiscus leaves
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 5 cups water
- Ice
Good health has never tasted better... Hibiscus is full of anti-oxidants and phytochemicals, which is a fancy way of saying "plant stuff." But it's also a beautiful addition to iced tea. Strawberries balance out the tartness, and the mint lightens it up further. You'll want to boil the hibiscus leaves with your water, then take the pot off and add most of your other bits and pieces. Steep for 20 minutes and strain the mix. Serve with ice, as well as extra garnish with leftovers.
Watermelon cocktail
Ingredients:
- 8 cups chilled watermelon
- 4 tablespoons lime juice
- 320 ml coconut water
- 1 cup of citrus-flavoured vodka
- A few mint leaves
They don't get as much love as they deserve, so we're throwing watermelons into this party drink pick-me-up. Fetch your blender again. Liquify the watermelon, lime juice and coconut water until it's 100% smooth, then pour into a pitcher with your vodka. Make it a little bitterer with lime slices as a garnish with your mint.
